Happiness is a day at Pasadera

Welcome to our centre

Pasadera Pre-School is a privately owned centre, which has been providing care and education for the families of Penrith area for the past 39 years. Our Director, Dorothy Fischer, taught infant classes with the Department of Education for 15 years prior to opening Pasadera and has been personally involved with the running of the centre since inception. Our preschool was designed by Dorothy and many clients comment on its warm, homely atmosphere and its spacious park-like grounds.

We understand one of the hardest things we ever do, is turn our children over to someone else. That's why we pride ourselves on providing an environment that will never make you worry about the welfare of your child.

A stepping stone

'Pasadera' is a Spanish word meaning 'stepping stone' and we feel that is what we provide in each child’s life - a stepping stone from home to the outside world.

We welcome all individuals and families, regardless of family structure, ethnic or cultural backgrounds and we encourage families to discuss beliefs with the director and staff to ensure that each families needs are met.

Our staff

Our staff at Pasadera provide a developmentally appropriate educational program for children aged between two and six years. The program is supervised by four early childhood trained teachers and four fulltime child care workers.

All staff have first aid qualifications and some have certificates in food handling and the control of infectious diseases. Staff also have experience in the management of asthma, diabetes and tracheostomy.
